1. Temperature: The Spa water is chilled to between 2 °C and 4 °C, to reduce heat and inflammation. At this temperature, analgesic pain management is provided and enzyme degeneration of tendons post trauma is inhibited.
2. Salt Concentration: The salt acts as a hypertonic poultice, reducing heat while having a natural healing effect on wounds. Water density increases with salt concentration, which in turn increases pressure to aid fluid and waste dispersal.
3. Aeration: This has a massaging effect on the leg, and increases the dissolved oxygen content of the spa solution.
